It was a chilly morning in October it was actually Halloween, and it was also L’s first birthday at Wammy’s. L got up normally and went downstairs to find the dinner hall full with kids. All of the younger kids were wearing witches hats, wigs, crowns and various costumes. L went and stood in line to get his breakfast. “Happy Birthday!” said some voices behind him. L turned around to see Mello and Matt smiling. Mello gave L a box that was tied with a blue ribbon. “Oh thank you.” Said L. “Well are you gonna open it?” asked Mello. L nodded

All the children sat and stared at the clock eagerly just waiting for the minute hand to move. School was almost over for the summer. There were a few remaining seconds left, L began to count down from ten in his head. ‘Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one’ RING-DING-DING-DING-DING the bell went. School was actually over. Everyone rushed out the door and into the playground screaming in excitement and jumping for joy.

L was sat in the dinner hall eating his lunch with Matt and Mello; it was extremely quiet, well more quiet than usual. There were fewer children inside that day but then most of them came in at once making it much more crowded.
It was still quiet for a few more minutes until it was utter chaos because suddenly someone shouted… “FOOD FIGHT!” at that moment food flew into the air and hit a girl on the back of the head. The girl threw hers in the direction that the other food came from, it all turned into a riot.
