Memoeires- Part Thirteen
L's past memories

It was a wonderful winters evening, the sky was slightly clouded and it was snowing. Most of the kids sat watching it snow falling for the first time in December, they watched out side of their windows. The smaller children were just about starting to get ready to go to sleep. L was laid on his bed staring at the ceiling; he let out a sigh and looked out of the window for a short while. It was quite cold in his room, the radiators weren’t on and there was no source of heat a part form getting wrapped up in his bed covers.  So that’s what he did, he read his book like he usually did as the rest of the house slept.

The morning came and the children rose from their sleep. L could hear the sound of shouting from over excited kids wanting to go outside and play in the snow. L was up and ready soon enough so he went to get breakfast from the dinner hall. He walked down the empty hall ways until he finally reached his destination. So he got his lunch and sat down, he finished his breakfast and Mello and Matt were no where to be found. L decided to go outside and attempt to build a snowman or even a fort. He had to put on his coat and hat to keep him warm.

L made a ball with the snow and began to roll it on the floor and watched it get larger and larger until it was as big as he could get it (which was quite huge) so he began to make the head. In no time that was finished too, all he had to do was put the head on the top, he couldn’t quite reach the very top so he had to throw it and hope it stayed where it was suppose to, but magically it did. The snowman was now complete.
“It looks a bit plain.” L heard a voice behind him say, L turned around and saw Matt stood there smiling.
“Oh hi, where’s Mello?”
“Oh yeah, he’s not feeling too well so he’s been told to stay in bed.”
“What’s up with him?”
“I don’t know, I think he has the flu or something like that.”
“Okay then.”

Yes the snowman did look plain so L then had a plan. Matt had to climb on L’s back and put a hat on the snowman’s head and draw a face on it with his finger. It seemed to be going well until L dropped Matt.
“Ow.”
“Sorry.” L apologised. At least the snowman was finished after all that effort.

Yes well the snowman was finished but now they were bored… They sat down on the floor thinking and wondering about what to do, they had no ideas at all. Matt sort of collapsed backwards and laid on the floor and proceeded to make a snow angel.
“What are you doing?” L asked.
“Making a snow angel.” Matt answered. L nodded and then he got some snow and rolled it in his hand and threw it at Matt’s face.
“Ow, again.” Matt made a snow ball as well and threw it back at L, this eventually turned into a large snowball fight with more people involved because they got hit accidentally several times.

L and Matt managed to make a small wall to hide behind and dodge most of the snowballs. It was just like a war game with everyone getting hit with the ammo and falling on the battlefield whilst others hide behind walls and using them as shields, how exciting.

Inside Mello was walking towards the sitting room with his hot chocolate as he was feeling slightly better after a long nap. He sat himself in an armchair and turned his attention to out of the window at the children running riot, just like animals with the snow flying from every direction.
“What the heck is going on out there?” Mello asked himself.
“It’s a snowball fight, isn’t it obvious?” Mello turned his attention to where the person’s voice was coming from. It was Near who was sat on the floor with a jigsaw puzzle.
“Well I noticed that much.” Mello snapped.
“Well sorry for stating the obvious.”

It was beginning to get darker outside and over half of the kids had already gone inside. But before long everyone was inside, they were all wet and cold. Everywhere you looked there was clothes hung over the radiators or boots in thee hall way drying out. That night was peaceful and silent; almost everyone went to sleep fairly early.
It was a tiring day…
